Just a quick update showing new additions to the OldSchoolStereo.com labs. I decided to replace my dead hard drive on my editing computer instead of replacing the computer. I picked up a Samsung 64GB SSD from TigerDirect for $100. This will allow me to get back to editing using Sony Vegas Pro instead of relying on my iPhone 4 for all of my videos (although it has done pretty well thus far!)

I also show off the JL Audio 8W6 subwoofers and their new surrounds. A local stereo shop has a speaker repair center and they replaced the surrounds I got at Springfieldspeakerrepair.com. The surrounds look almost exact to the JL ones, so I'd recommend them if you are in the market. We'll put those 8W6's in a box soon enough and test them on the bench and in my car...can't wait to hear them!

Next up is the my latest resistor load. I briefly showed this off in an earlier video, but spent more time going over the design and operation of the 960W additional dummy load (who are you callin' dummy?)

Finally, I show off the next amp in the "Chinese Mini Amp Invasion" shootout, the Lepai LP-V3. This amp touts the "BOSE" power IC and promises the highest MAX output (who cares) and 25W RMS output (we'll see about this).
