Note on my Hunter-gatherer comment: I don't deny humans have behaved in this pattern, but I also believe its what humans today would default to in times of scarcity especially after a major societal collapse. Because its ingrained, I do not think its appropriate to say that humans were hunter-gathers for the 190,000 years of unaccounted human history of the modern genome.
