All the waste that we throw is collected by municipality and dumped in an dumping ground, We could rather collect it and process using state-of-the-art bio gas plant and obtain gas as well as manure, for a fraction of cost. Padma Shree Dr. Sharad Kale, is a retired BARC scientist, who developed NISARGRUNA, a biogas plant based on degradable waste source. He featured in an episode of Satyamev Jayate discussing the issue of solid waste management.
