Who Is Margot Philippe? Margot Philippe (°1991, Belgium) graduated as an interface developer in New Media and Communication Technology (Howest, 2012). Her choice for IT over Accountancy was determined by her internship in 6th grade. ICT grew on her and showed how rich and challenging it could be. During her education, she felt the struggle of being a girl in IT. Eager to learn and continuously proving that she could be the best, she convinced her fellow students that being a girl in IT is not a disadvantage. With her last internship at Aaltra, she received the honour of having the best internship and won the Innovation awards. She took the opportunity to stay at the company, where she works as an interface developer. The vision of the company reflects her vision: creating compelling user interfaces in such a way that no manual is necessary, perfection is obvious and the sky is the limit. What is this talk all about? Sweetlog Daily tasks of diabetic patients are still done by hand. This opposes several problems, such as sharing data, getting feedback from doctor or nurses, loosing data ... This talk suggests a solution to this problem which enables the patient to spend less time in managing diabetics. It will help the doctors and nurses to follow-up the patient when trying new medicine and help parents to check on their children when they're at school. About TED and TEDx In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
