Goa government has informed High Court that no bidder turned up in the recently concluded tender process for the installation of digital meter in tourist taxis. Goa government further contended that soon fresh tender will be floated for the same. Adjourning the hearing for 1 week, the High Court has asked Goa government to file latest status of the tender. Installation of digital meter in tourist taxis will take some more time in the state of Goa, as no bidder turned up in the first tender concluded on 5th February. During hearing before the High Court on Monday, Goa government contended that during the tender period, which was started on 5th January and concluded on 5th February, some of the aspiring companies raised objection towards certain clause of the tender and sought some relaxation. But, Goa government did not change the clause as the tender was under way. Consequently, no bidder company turned up till last day of the tender. www.prudentmedia.in #PrudentMediaGoa
