One must become conscious of one’s own potential. Gurudev was conscious of His infinite potential, which He knew to be ever self-luminous. One of the explanations which Gurudev gave on the term ‘self-luminous’ based on the Upanishads is – “Sun simply illumines. We attribute doership to it.” – The doership is attributed based on our perception of the sun. But the sun’s nature is to illumine. This way, those who are enlightened, have no need for any other light, because they too realize their own self-luminosity. We could go about practicing this as our sadhana by trying to manifest the potential that we have, for a good cause. If we keep remembering God then we can do much more than we think we can. We must be dependent only on the Lord. There is nothing to ask from the outside world because what is required for us is already there.
