After turning and servicing the engine, and after a satisfying day at the Cheyenne Frontier Days Rodeo for the passengers, The Union Pacific 844 departs the Cheyenne Steam Shops and crosses over to P-1, then hooks onto the 20th annual Denver Post CFD Special for the afternoon dash to Denver! And the reason I quickly turned the camera away from the train while they were leaving the shops was of course of the engineer turning on the cylinder cocks. I'd rather have my back sprayed with steam than have the camera get any dirtier than it was. Good times, good times! Rate. Comment. Subscribe. ENJOY!!!
