iPad Pro 12.9 inch, 512 Gb, Space Grey 2018 This video is a review about the iPad Pro 12.9 inch 2018, 512 Gb, Spacegrey. Specs The iPad Pro 12.9 inch 512 Gb 2018 or 3rd Generation iPad Pro, is the first iPad series without a Home button. In order to log in you need to setup Face-Id. Tap on the screen and the iPad Pro will recognise your face and you are logged in. The Facts iPad Pro 12.9in (2018) specs A12X Bionic processor, Neural Engine, M12 coprocessor 64GB/256GB/512GB/1TB of storage 12.9in (2732x2048 at 264ppi) LED 'Liquid Retina' screen, True Tone, ProMotion 12Mp rear-facing camera, f/1,8, flash, 4K video, slow-mo at 240fps 7Mp front-facing camera, 1080p video, 'Retina Flash' feature, Portrait Mode, Animoji Four-speaker audio Face ID facial recognition 802.11ac Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0 nano-Sim/eSIM USB-C connector, no headphone port 280.6mm x 214.9mm x 5.9mm; 631g/633g (Wi-Fi/cellular) Comparison with the iPad Pro 2017 Here is the comparison with the iPad Pro 12.9 inch 2017. The new iPad is much smaller, but the screen is the same. It has no Homebutton again, so you need to setup your iPad for Face-Id. Otherwise you will have to login by hand. There is no headphone jack anymore. The new iPad Pro is now powered by USB-C instead of the Lightning connector in the 2017 version. The four boxes are the same. The best way to test the performance is by painting with a big brush in Procreate. I am using my finger on both iPad’s. We are going to test the new A12X Bionic Chip. The iPad Pro 2018 is faster in its performance. But it is only noticeable when you record it in slow motion at 240 frames per second. Pros The iPad Pro 12.9 inch 2018 has: a faster Processor Smaller Bezels -You can stick the Apple Pencil 2 to the top of your iPad and charge it -USB-C you now can connect a 5K screen through your USB-C connection. -You can connect USB-Card Readers and Thumb drives CONS- -When you draw on the iPad Pro and want to hold the iPad the Bezels are too small. You easily will smudge your painting -When you want to close an app you have to use the swipe up gesture. When you are in a drawing app, you will ruin your painting -The old Apple Pencil is not compatible with this iPad Pro, you need to buy the Apple Pencil 2 -USB-C You have to buy new connectors and earphones - You can not backup or upload work files to the iPad Pro 2018, only videos and photos. Overall this new iPad Pro 2018 has a better performance than the 2017 version. But if you already have the iPad Pro from 2017, I would not recommend buying the 2018 version. There are just too many CONS. Apple sold this iPad with the promise that it would replace your computer. But there are just too many things you can not do on the iPad. You are still working in iOS. You can not open zipfiles, or you need an external app for that. You can not upload work files, only photos and videos. External harddrives are not supported. However If you want to upgrade from and iPad to an iPad Pro, or want to start out with an iPad Pro this will be the best iPad Pro so far. SUBSCRIBE TO MY CHANNEL!
