Volunteering abroad is one of the most fulfilling things you can do. This video helps provide useful tips, information and advice for both existing and aspiring volunteers. It covers challenges you might face, recommendations for volunteering with a reputable organisation, and being aware refugees and migrants are vulnerable to exploitation.

The Q&A in this video was conducted with Stephen Cuss, a former camp manager in Lesvos, who was a volunteer with an organisation called Lighthouse Relief - https://www.lighthouserelief.org/

Disclaimer - this video was produced in collaboration with the National Council For Voluntary Organisations (NCVO) to help educate volunteers about volunteering safely overseas. For more information about volunteering from the UK, check out their website - http://bit.ly/2GaN604
