The FBI says hate crimes in the United States rose in 2017, for the third year in a row. Its report says more than 7,000 attacks were reported last year, targeting victims' race, religion, or sexual orientation. The FBI's annual hate crimes report documents a startling jump in the number of incidents in the US. Last year, reported hate crimes jumped by 17 percent. That continues an upward trend since Donald Trump's campaign and presidency.
