Today I participated in a defensive driving class at Eaton Proving Grounds in Marshall, Michigan. 

For the skid pad event you get going as fast as you can on a slight curve and when the instructor yells: "Hard right" you turn the wheels all the way to the right and he sets your parking brake until the back of the bus swings around then he releases the brake and you have to recover from the skid... or spin out.
