For the first stop on our extras, I'm going to take a look at the Mario Kart Channel, discuss some things prevalent to that, and then do some time trials.

As far as street passing is concerned, after talking to some people, the idea behind it is that you would street pass someone, you would get an icon on the MK channel, and you would challenge them in a series of races based on the special "Grand Prix Cup" they created on their game and Mii settings. If you win, you have a chance to win one of their kart parts (which I guess is how I won that kart piece I talked about). Also, if you street pass 100 people, you get that fancy Gold Glider, as mentioned before. Also, the AIs for the street pass challenges I think act like the special ranking you have, or act in a way that emulates those "styles" I guess.
