PAVAMANI ROAD, CALICUT, India On August 28, 2012 - a busy narrow main road, damaged by slow pace of road-widening work which encroached into properties on both sides of the road; is flooded by monsoon rains causing vehicles to rock like boats at sea. This video was shot outside my relative's home, where the compound, and the mouth of the freshwater well, have been reduced for widening the road. Kerala is blessed with heavy rains during the South-West Monsoon season every year.
