FIELD WORKS (Indianapolis, IN USA) is a collective of experimental pop musicians from around the globe. Projects are rooted in participatory research – audio field recordings, interviews, visual documentation – where the world itself becomes a recording studio. The group gets its name from the sciences, using observation and experimentation to create the narrative elements of a new kind of placebased music. The collective is led by interdisciplinary artist Stuart Hyatt, whose original field recordings made along a single street in Indianapolis became the foundation for the group’s debut album, The National Road.

About TEDx, x = independently organized event In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
