It is a pin up calendar called "The Girls of La Strada."

I've seen the pictures and it is very tasteful and fun and the best part is that a portion of the proceeds go to benefit pancreatic cancer research! The father of my dear friend Aoife (a fellow waitress) died last year of pancreatic cancer and part of the proceeds from the calendar will be donated in her father's honor.

This is the same disease that just killed Patrick Swayze and it is just a horrible, horrible disease that needs more funding so there can be more research.

The calendar features current and former waitresses, most of whom I know personally and love. Miss December is my best friend Claire and the cover girl is her sister Celeste who is also like a sister to me. I can't wait to get my copy and I hope you'll order some too! They would make fantastic Christmas presents and how can you go wrong when part of your money will go to charity?! :)

If you would like to order one just click here or go to (www.lastradaon2nd.com/shop.html). They are $12.95 plus shipping or you can just go to La Strada (4716 E. 2nd St. Long Beach, CA 90803) and pick one up while you eat some delicious Italian food!
