Now available on Tindie: https://tindie.com/shops/hotchk155/sixtyfourpixels-lo-fi-gamer-kit/ https://github.com/hotchk155/AVRGame/wiki This is little Lo-fi "games console" I am working on based around an 8x8 red/green LED matrix and an ATMega328 microcontroller chip, running Arduino code. I designed the PCBs myself but got them fabricated in China. They use TPIC6B595 open-collector shift registers to interface with the the LED matrix, a piezo transducer for sounds, and they run off 3xAAA batteries. I am still working on the games (initially Invaders, Lander, Breakout, Pong) but only Invaders is anything like complete so far - and surprisingly playable... Code is here, https://github.com/hotchk155/AVRGame, but like I say I am still working on it.
