I am Cambodian and grow up eating authentic Lao food. I also cook more Lao food myself. To me this place is way too far to give a good review. If you grow up having authentic Lao food from your elderly then this place will disappoint you. Their cooking is more like a modern style Lao cooking. Most of their foods are too sweet and salty. Is like you if you never had Lao food before in your life you will say yes this is great or you had Lao food from your parents who do not cook authentic Lao food then this is where you will think is 100% authentic Lao food. They don’t use enough padek in their papaya salad or not using padek at all. My husband said it taste like nhoum (fish sauce lime garlic pepper) Don’t get me wrong it is Lao food but it is more like a mix modern and the taste is very bland. I’m sure they don’t put any msg in which is good for those that concerned about their health. To be honest by tasting their food that night it is too sweet and salty. The name say it all. It’s street food because there is no restaurant utensils. Self served,casual seating like a take out. It is nice to have Lao eatery there In Orlando since there is so many asian people travel there for their vacation and miss their home cooking. I recommend this place for youngsters that don’t know the difference between authentic and modern cooking. To me if I have a variety of eating places choice, I will not go to this place but if I have no choice then yes I will go again.
