Philadelphia Zoo Douc Langurs Now a Couple

Recently the mother of the male douc langur died. The Zoo has slowly been trying to get the male and the female that was transferred from the San Diego Zoo last year together. Past attempts were not successful because both the young female and the male seemed to prefer the company of the male's mother. But now, it seems that the young female is adjusting to having a male follow her everywhere she goes and sit down close to her. And, as you can see in this video, when it is time to eat, they both enjoy their food as always.
