Emerald Dragon is an RPG released for several systems that never made it outside of Japan. This is the Super Famicom version which was developed by Alfa System and released in 1995. You can find the English language patch easily on Google. The patch was done by Nightcrawler's Translation Corporation. I recommend you use the latest version of the patch. As of this video it's version 1.2.

This game has some really nice music and character portraits. The battle system feels like a turned based classic Ys (with the bump mechanic). The other characters are computer controlled. Although you can direct them to specific targets. So maybe like Star Ocean or the Tales games as well. The battles feel a little lacking here though. But the rest of the game is great.
