The circuit can be used as a visitor counter display also. We can do it by putting this circuit near a door from where the visitors will enter. We will not need any disc for this purpose. We can put a source of light like laser at one side of a door and align it so that its light will fall on the LDR of our circuit. Now when visitors pass through the door, the light falling on the LDR will be interrupted for a while and as visitor passes by the door, the light will again fall on the LDR and the counting will increase by 1 on the counter timer. Similarly when next visitor enters, same process repeats.
