Every action that we take in life is meant to do one of two things. Move us away from pain or move us towards pleasure. Typically, avoiding pain is the more common action and I would say that the majority of psychological mistakes made in trading are done for that very reason. Money is something that we are all very attached to and seeing it (and potentially more) at risk is a very painful thing. When we fear that a trade is not going in our direction the common move is to bail. It's also commonly said that 90 percent of traders will lose 90 percent of their capital in their first 90 days of trading.

If you don't want to see common results you need to take uncommon actions and one of the best actions that you can take is sticking with your trade idea and seeing it through. Fighting through the pain so that you may gain pleasure. Trusting yourself and believing in your trading strategy. 

The problem is that this is easier said than done. And if you're struggling to make these changes on your own, the best thing that you can do is surround yourself with positive influencers and use them to assist you through the transition process. What we do isn't easy, and that's what makes it so worth it when you do earn your success!
