In this part, we bring Bow-Wow back to Madam MeowMeow. We also meet Richard, who escaped Koholint Castle after it was invaded.

These are the items obtained in this part:

Piece of Heart #5: Remember that maze of boulders with the skulls from earlier? Go back to that area, and lift the skulls to make your way to the Piece of Heart.

Magic Powder Upgrade: In one part of the Mysterious Forest, there should be a lone rock on the top-right area of one of the screens. Lift it to find a staircase. Go down it, and you will find a cauldron. Sprinkle some Magic Powder into it, and Mad Batter will appear, cursing you to hold more Magic Powder. You can now sprinkle the Powder 40 times instead of 20.

Secret Seashell #3: Near the lone graveyard and Witch's Hut, there should be a bush surrounded by some grass. Cut the bush, then dig in that area with the Deluxe Shovel to find a Secret Seashell. The Bow-Wow will notify that there's a Secret Seashell there if he's still with you.

Secret Seashell #4: In Mabe Village, enter the small room near Madam MeowMeow's house. Dig on the bottom right of the room to find another Secret Seashell. Again, the Bow-Wow will notify you about this.

Secret Seashell #5: This Seashell is near the entrance of the Mysterious Forest. Make your way to the right to find a stone. Pick it up, then open the Treasure Chest for another Seashell. Do not get anymore Secret Seashells, yet. If you get any other ones, you cannot get the sixth one.
