IndieGogo: https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/tracing-nepal/x/293485#home What We Need & What You Get We have twenty-one days to reach the £500 goal! Reaching the goal would mean we would be able to buy school equipments for the children at Maya Universe Academy, support the school for its upcoming hostel building that is currently under construction and gift each of the two-hundred students of Singhadebi Madhyamik Vidhyalaya (Sablakhu) with copies, pencil, erasers and school bags. In addition to that, we would also be able to provide support materials for the staff of both of the schools. £500 will go a long way as this money will also be spent on filming the sixteen day Tracing Nepal experience. The journey which will be filmed from Day 1 to Day 16 will follow the volunteers as they immerse themselves in the local way of life and deal with the challenges and surprises along the way! Tracing Nepal will arrive on YouTube by the end of this year. Your support today will mean: - Students of Maya Universe Academy will receive new a set of school equipments. - Nepals first free private school Maya Universe Academy - Tanahun will receive support for its upcoming hostel building that is currently under construction. - Two-hundred students of Singhadebi Madhyamik Vidhyalaya will receive new set of school equipments. - Singhadebi School will receive stationery supplies, geometry boxes, globe, maps, basketball, football, badminton rackets and more. - Tracing Nepal will be filmed with your support - we hope this journey that we capture on film and eventually share on YouTube will motivate more youths to take on a journey to the unknown! - Your support for Tracing Nepal will automatically mean you are part of the Tracing Nepal family! You will receive Tracing Nepal goodies! Tracing Nepal is a sixteen day experience which will bring eight non-resident Nepali youths together and take them on a journey to explore and experience Nepal like never before. During the journey, the young individuals will be visiting Maya Universe Academy in Tanahun where they will be roughing it up in village home-stays and be involved in teaching, construction and farmwork. The second phase of the experience will take these youths to Taplejung, Eastern region of Nepal where they will live it up locally in Sablakhu village. Activities range from "dhan ropain" (rice plantation) to assisting at the heavily populated local government school Singhadebi Madhyamik Vidhyalaya. The final part of the experience consists of downtime at Nepal's famed The Last Resort. Tracing Nepal aims to uncover the real Nepal for these youths who have spent majority of their years living outside of Nepal. Through this experience, I hope they too will foster a deeper relationship with Nepal and play an active role in the future of our country. Lex Limbu, Founder (Tracing Nepal)
