Emmerson Mnangagwa has been sworn in as president of Zimbabwe following the resignation of Robert Mugabe after military intervention. The inauguration marks a historic power shift after 37 years of rule under Robert Mugabe. the 93 year-old former president was deposed by military intervention earlier this month. In his speech, President Mnangagwa offered a message of national unity and reconciliation. After years of political and economic turmoil, Zimbabweans are hopeful for a better future. Mnangagwa has promised to hold democratic elections after years of one-party rule. He acts as interim president until next year's elections, which he will likely contest. Report by Ferdia Carr.
