With the spring we are working on clearing a spot for our garden. While balancing the pros and cons of tearing out the roots of the trees, and considering the practices of the old time homesteaders I decided to leave the stumps and let the roots rot where they are. I am really excited to try the garden this way. What a joyous way to live.
