Today we’re going to discuss lateral sound fields. As control room engineers, as audiophiles and as listeners you have to be aware of the lateral sound field which is the horizontal domain in front of you. That’s where most of the energy and most of the activity and quite honestly most of the confusion lies.

Well in today's video you'll learn:

1. Why you want equal pressure and equal reflections on both sides of your room,

2. How you can hear that through a very simple test and

3. How to perform that test to see how the pressure and reflections in the horizontal domain lie in your room.

So enjoy the video and as always please let me know if you have any follow up questions.

Thanks
Dennis
