Since the fall of communism Russian billions have flooded London. There are some many oligarchs and billionaires in the British capital that it has been dubbed Moscow-on-Thames. They have invested large amounts of money in the property market and British economy. With the crisis in Ukraine it became clear the British are very reluctant to put heavy sanctions on Russia out of fear the damage their own economy.
