What Tronical did was "a public relations stunt," Gibson says. As previously reported, Tronical, the company that developed automatic tuners for guitars, has sued Gibson for $50 million. And now, the guitar manufacturer has hit back with a counter lawsuit, branding Tronical's actions "a public relations stunt." As Total Guitar reports, Gibson stated that Tronical CEO Chris Adams' statement, in which he claimed that Gibson had breached an "exclusive research and development agreement with Tronical," was designed "to hide the fact that Tronical and Mr. Adams were sued last year by Gibson, alleging that they currently owe Gibson several millions of dollars in damages."
