Voting has begun in India's general election -- in a process that will last more than a month so that the nation's 714 million eligible voters have a chance to cast their ballots. No single party is expected to emerge with a dominant majority in parliament without partners, which makes states with powerful regional parties strategically critical. One such state is Andhra Pradesh, in the south, which has 42 of the 543 seats in India's Lower House of Parliament.
