Meteor over New Mexico

The meteor entered the atmosphere just after midnight local time (12:03:51 AM MDT) on Sunday, April 26th over west-central New Mexico. We located the event to just north of Gallup and it was traveling westward, likely over the Arizona border. The spectacular flare at the end of the movie, comparable to the brightness of the full Moon, indicates a catastrophic break-up of the meteor body. This event wasn't related to any known meteor shower.
