One of the crowing jewels of Madhya Pradesh is the Kanha Tiger Reserve, also known as the Kanha National Park. Here's a story of two tribal women - Phuliya and Rekha, from nearby villages who started their own Silai Schools. They then started training other women in stitching. Earlier, there was no source of earning apart from going to jungle for work. There were so many incidents of tiger attacks on these people. Now the women are working at home instead of going to jungle for work. This initiative also helped in the conservation of forest as the number of footfall in jungle has reduced. While the women have an alternative source that has changed their lives.
