Moving Beyond Social Entrepreneurship: Reframing the conversation to cater to an emerging Generation Why? An emerging Generation Why is looking for better language and vehicles to capture, articulate and express their changing needs. Terms such as 'social entrepreneurship' do not capture the aspirations of a generation with an enlightened self-interest that aims to combine meaning with profit. This talk proposes the articulation of an enlightened circle of needs, reconciling financial and social impact via vehicles such as Impact Organisations. Christian is the founder of Sandbox, the leading global community of young innovators. He currently acts as Associate Director at the London School of Economics (LSE) innovation and Co-Creation Lab. @ChrisSandbox In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
