In this, the final lesson in the series, we bring it all together; all of the concepts discussed in the series to create a final, complete walking bass line. The chords discussed in this video are as follows: Dmin7 - the chords tones are D, F, A and C G7 - the chord tones are G, B, D and F Cmaj7 - the chord tones are C, E, G and B A7(b9) - the chord tones are A, C#, E, G and Bb In order to play even the simplest of walking bass lines, the student MUST know the aforementioned chords and the chord tones that make them up within the first 5 frets of the bass guitar fingerboard (at least). This content is assumed knowledge, and will not be discussed in this video series. Remember, it is highly recommended that the student write out their own bass lines and play them threw a few times if they really want to get the most out of this series. Learning to play walking bass lines is like learning a new language - you need to develop a vocabulary. Just like in learning to speak a language, if you don't know any letter, how do you construct words? If you don't know any words, how do you construct sentences? Write out some walking bass line vocabulary, and give yourself something to work with.
