New week = new episode. It’s late but blame family. Sheesh. Anyway the Turtles are out seeking the Oozesquitoes but they have to contend with big problems in the form of not only Baron Draxum but also Big Mama. But will they succeed? And what does Big Mama want with the Oozesquitoes. Yep. It’s a half-hour episode for a variety of reasons. For starters the debut of Big Mama, voiced by Lena Headey. Also Baron Draxum returns and it seems he wants those Oozesquitoes bad. What follows is a fight to get them. But there’s also a revelation: Baron Draxum created the Turtles. That’s a twist but I didn’t think these writers would pull something like this. It’s a different incarnation of Turtles so we’re getting different origins. Does it matter? No. Because the one who created them is the series’ big bad. Ain’t that surprising. The episode’s awesome. For 30 minutes, this episode is just so good. Action packed, funny and also, the episode and title is a reference to Ghostbusters. I ain’t afraid of no ghost. Or in this case, I ain’t afraid of no bug. But interestingly, they call mutants “yokai”. I have to wonder why. Regardless it’s making this show all the more interesting. I just hope it gets better. What do you guys think?
