Today's segment is very special to me. I was commissioned to do a piece for a new apartment complex in LIC Queens NY.  The owner of the building was looking for something cool and unique for the stairway leading to the Penthouse. We sat together and decided to do a piece that represented Queens and Manhattan. Being that Long Island City has some of the best views of NYC we wanted to get give you an idea of some of the landmarks that you would see when you're passing through Queens and also the beautiful skyline of Manhattan. Although the skyline has changed tremendously since the horrific 9/11 tragedy we wanted to give you a taste of classic NYC views. I still remember that tragic moment like it was yesterday and most New Yorkers that were around to witness the destruction will never forget it. So I had painted the 7 train in the middle to show you which train will take you through all of these wonderful sites. I had added the statue of Liberty because we all know that's a national monument that you can also see from LIC. We can never forget the world renown graffiti heaven, 5 POINTZ which was recently painted over unfortunately, I had to pay homage. We added the gantry that has the big LONG ISLAND that you can see from across the East River and a few other figures that represent both boroughs.
