This video/recipe provides one of the many different approaches that can be taken for preparing American style home fries. This is a favorite of mine, partly because the entire preparation is made within a single piece of cookware from start to finish. The potatoes are boiled and sautéed in the same pan without switching from one pan to another. This formula is also flexible enough to be used as a breakfast potato or as a main dish/lunch/dinner accompaniment starch/potato.
