Exploring the ruins of the White City on Echo Mountain (1-4-2014)

Went for a trail run up to Echo Mountain in Altadena (Los Angeles area, near Pasadena at the foothills of the San Gabriels) to check out the White City, part of the ruins of the Mount Lowe Railway. You should check it out too... no special gear needed. I went up there by parking near the Haunted Forest (the ruins of the Cobb Estate) in a t-shirt, shorts and my Merrel Trail Gloves. No hiking boots needed. You could do it in Chucks or Vans if you wanted to. Bring water, as there is none past the Cobb Estate area, and sunscreen.
