A visit to the Llangollen railway whilst they were running their 'Timetable C' meaning a morning DMU service, six steam services and an evening DMU service. Locomotives/DMU in service: BR Standard 4MT 2-6-4T no.80072 Ex-LMS Black 5 4-6-0 No. 44806 'Kenneth Aldcroft' BR Class 108 DMU nos.51907+54490 (not featured in this video) We start off at Berwyn where we see 44806 departing with a train form Llangollen to Carrog. We then come to the long curve near Glyndyfrdwy where we see 44806 again, in the rain after leaving Glyndyfrdwy Station on her way to Deeside Halt to pass with 80072 who is seen shortly after at the same location although by then it had stopped raining. We now come to Glyndyfrdwy Station itself where we see 80072's arrival on her way back to Llangollen. She then departs for Deeside Halt where she will pass with 44806 with the signalman shutting the manually operated level crossing gates creating an authentic scene from the days of steam. 44806 is then seen arriving with the driver dropping off the single line token. She then departing making plenty of noise then shutting off just before she disappears where the driver lifts the the regulator where she echoes up the line, barking and whistling away.
