Bardem delivers a powerful performance as a hustler with a golden heart. In the grubby slums of Barcelona, he organises illegal workers and other activities, while also looking after his children. Then it becomes apparent that he is incurably ill. Heartrending, pitch-black and yet hopeful epic by the director of Babel, Amores Perros.
