One of a number of monuments near the Lisbon waterfront, this one celebrates the first Portuguese crossing of the Atlantic by airplane, the 'Santa Cruz', which was used by Sacadura Cabral and Gago Coutinho to fly from Lisbon to Rio de Janeiro in June 1922.
