A few years after qualifying as a British family doctor, Peter moved to the former Soviet Union to work for 12 years on health development projects. He returned in 2008 to study for a Master's degree in International Health at Heidelberg University and has since then been working as a Public Health consultant in places such as Malawi, Egypt, Ethiopia as well as the Central Asian "..stans". From his experience, Peter will focus on the big picture of large organisations, and their efforts to achieve results. About TEDx: In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations) http://www.tedxrheinmain.de/change http://www.facebook.com/TEDxRheinMain
