Passion is a driving force like no other. It can be used to change minds, create ideas and strengthen communities. Often underrated, passion and the enthusiasm that accompanies it is something everyone has but it must be found. Do you have yours?

Jeff Ewelt has been involved with animals for over thirteen years. During his college career, Jeff volunteered his time at a local wildlife rehab center, giving him invaluable experience handling wild animals. Upon his graduation from The Ohio State University with a Bachelors degree in Environmental Communication, Education and Interpretation, Jeff was working at the Columbus Zoo as a Presenter and Animal Trainer. In 2000, Jeff accepted a position at Tampa’s Lowry Park Zoo as the Animal Ambassador Manager. It is within this position that animals brought Jeff to television. He has appeared on several national broadcasts including, National Geographic Geo’s World’s Weirdest series, Late Night with Conan O’ Brien, ABC’s Extreme Home Makeover, The Discovery Channel, MSNBC and PBS. Regional broadcasts include Tampa’s local ABC, FOX, CBS, NBC and UPN stations, several of which are in the top 20 markets. For over five years, Tampa’s CBS station, WTSP-TV, highlighted Jeff and his expertise in a weekly segment entitled “Life Around Lowry,” where Jeff introduced his audience to different animals and conservation efforts. These appearances have led Jeff to other television opportunities including hosting a silver Telly award winning travel documentary shot in Honduras, a You Tube series entitled “Jeff the Zoo Guy” and the production of a television series highlighting zoos around the world. Jeff has also had other roles, including voice over work in commercials, radio and cable. Jeff strongly believes that he can use his knowledge and training expertise to educate audiences worldwide about the importance these animals play in our everyday world. Jeff recently accepted his newest position as the Executive Director of ZooMontana in Billings, Montana.
