UCLs Language Centre runs University Preparatory Certificate Courses, undergraduate foundation courses for international students with high academic potential. These courses are for students who have completed their secondary / high school education overseas with qualifications that do not allow them direct entry to UCLs undergraduate degree programmes. Over one academic year, the courses provide an intensive preparation for the academic and linguistic challenges of a top UK degree programme. 

This video follows the Biology fieldtrip as part of the University Preparatory Certificate for Science and Engineering (UPCSE) , a 1-year foundation course for international students who are aiming for undergraduate degree programmes in Mathematical and Natural Sciences, Life Sciences, Medicine and Engineering at UCL and other top UK universities. 

The University Preparatory Certificate for the Humanities (UPCH) course helps students gain entry to the best undergraduate degree courses in the Arts (including Architecture), the Humanities, Social Sciences (including Economics and Law), Business and Mathematics-related programmes.
