Being the only active volcano in Taiwan, I have been wanting to pay a visit to Kueishantao (Turtle Island) for a looooooong time. Situated in Yilan county, northeastern of Taiwan, luckily, the past spring break took me to the island together with 3 of my friends with whom I also visited other hidden gems within the county, e.g. National Center of Traditional Arts, Su'ao Cold Spring, Luodong Night Market, Lanyang Museum, Wushi Harbor, and Wai'ao Beach. If you happen to be in Taiwan for a short break, I would highly recommend Yilan into your alternative destination to visit!
