Another fine example of muscle memory at work. I played guitar as my main instrument from the age of 10 to around 20, when I gradually moved to bass as my primary. Haven't really played guitar since (roughly 25 yrs now), and mainly acoustic numbers when I do.

A good friend of mine got his hands on a beautiful Gibson Somethingorother, the thing sounds like a ton of bricks even through just a mid-level amp (Ibanez), and I was astounded how quickly all my old favourites came back to me, naturally, without really thinking about it - I *knew* these songs, and it didn't take more than a few weeks to get most of my old chops back.

This is a first instalment of what should become a regular posting, as I revisit my old guitar catalogue. Lots of Rush, Maiden and Zeppelin ahead! :D
