This band literally destroys! This is Love Me Destroyer and I've been a fan of them for a long time! They only have two albums out, but they are both worth getting though this album here (The Things Around us Burn) really benefit from a fuller bombastic sound. Their last album (also great) sounds like they are singing behind a barbed wire fence and a wall. It has a lower gritty quality (which I really like) but the production and the songs really come together on this album. You even got a double shot of LMD here since both songs go together seamlessly.

Here is my review from interpunk posted here because I can post it! And I wrote it. I actually just recently got this one. I didn't realize it was out:

I got into the first Love Me Destroyer cd quite some time ago. I got into Rise Against (when they were still on FAT) and this band around the same time. I knew Rise Against would make it big after hearing their albums, but I always liked the LMD cd I got too. (Btw I still like Rise Against, I just don't know them as well as I used to).

The first LMD cd was pretty low fi sounding and raw as nails, but I liked that about it. Plus there were some great lyrics This cd has a much more vibrant but still lethal sound to it. F.U.I.Q just explodes like TNT and Not If You Were the Last Sinner on Earth is full of so much vitriol and is just seething the whole way. "Feed me my pills. It's a daily dose of inspiration so I can be on my feet when judgement comes." Things Around Us Burn has a really strong delivery the whole song too. Bleed it Now hits you in the face like a cinder block and flows seamless into I went to Las Vegas. I thought it was all one song. I get so amped up hearing those. Color of the Grave is strong too and actually starts with a really filthy voice mail...well it is continued from the end of the last song.

Anyways if you want some high energy hardcore, you have to pick this one up. You won't be disapointed.

NOTE: The end of Bleed it Out got cut off. SOB, that's what I get for using a faulty program that just can't get things right. I listened to and edited this thing, three/four times before I uploaded. Oh well you probably wouldn't notice if I didn't post this note.
