Fastest run each day at the 40th annual SCCA Solo Nationals in Lincoln, Nebraska. Tuesday's East course run was solid. Well balanced, strongly executed. Happy with it. Wednesday I didn't have a good handle on the West course. I made a silly mistake on run 1, smashing a cone, then just brushed a cone on run 2 which was a 60.588 scratch time. To ensure I didn't throw the championship away, I was conservative and left the cones a lot of space on my final run (shown here). The 61.3 was still best in class and extended my lead to over a second, but I wasn't happiest with my personal performance that day. The next morning in the Gumout challenge, the course clicked. Or maybe it just made more sense in a FWD car (STS and STC did put the smack down on this course).
