Remembering the day Solidarity was made illegal

On 8 October 1982 the socialist authorities banned the independent trade union Solidarity which had been suspended on 13 December 1981. Here I recall that day whilst walking near the shipyard today and looking at the memorial to those murdered in 1970 and 1976.
