Diatonic improvisation in the key of Dm/Fmajor. F is the parent key (the 1) for our Nashville Number chart. This 6- 5 4 chord pregression is very common in folk and rock, appearing in songs like Eric Clapton's 'Layla', Led Zeppelin's Stairway to Heaven, The Rolling Stones' 'Gimme Shelter' and Bob Dylan's All Along the Watchtower. The later has had many notable cover versions from artists like Jimi Hendrix and Dave Matthews.
