Embakasi North MP Gakuya charged with fraud

Embakasi north MP James Gakuya was today, jointly with 12 others, charged for fraudulently receiving 39.8 million shillings, through fictitious road construction contracts. The mp and his brother, Patrick Wairungi are accused of receiving 19.6 million shillings for supplying absolutely nothing. All the suspects denied the charges before Milimani chief magistrate Felix Kombo and were released on different bail terms with Gakuya securing a 2 million shilling cash bail.
